How it works
- Download and read the detailed volunteer pack before applying.
- Apply using this form.
- [Optional] Complete our diversity, equity and inclusion form. Once you complete the application form you will automatically be redirected to it.
- We try to match you to an opportunity that you would be suitable for when either:
- an opportunity comes up and we search through applications for someone with matching skills.
or - quarterly we assess all applications and decide which we want to add to our pool of regular contributors.
- We then will arrange a call to further assess the fit between yourself and opportunities to volunteer.
- If we agree that it is a good fit, we will give you further details specific to the opportunity.
You can save this application at any time by checking the box at the top of every page, under the page numbers.
Your information will be held in a digital database for internal use only.
How we will use your data
The information in this form will be held on password protected systems that are accessible only to SSE personnel (staff and freelancers contracted to your programme). It will be reviewed by your SSE facilitator who will contact you, if you have told us about needs we can help with, so we can together plan how to best support you. We also analyse this data at an aggregated level, and anonymised, to help us know what the most common student wellbeing, inclusion and access needs are, so we can develop and allocate resources to meet them, and we may share this with funders.
You only need to provide information that you are comfortable sharing and that relates to your participation on the SSE programme. By completing this survey, you're giving consent for SSE to use the data to help you and your SSE facilitator agree, together, how to practically support you in your learning and address any wellbeing, inclusion and access needs. But don't worry, we'll protect your data in accordance with our data protection policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Details of how to do this are contained under the “your Rights” section of SSE’s Data Protection Policy.
